Recently i've been experimenting with various D.I.Y. camera mounts on the TREX500, mostly without success. However I have made some pleasing progress with my latest version. The video below shows my latest test, and as you can see there is very little 'wobble' in the video. 
 
As a comparison here is the old vs new

So what is the camera mount? 
 
This mount is made from foam, constructed as a box the camera sits nice and snug preventing any excessive movement:-

Had some really good fun with the 500ESP and Raptor 50 Titan SE today, made some real progress with my flying

Good news, today I passed the BMFA 'A' Certificate for helicopters.. Its been a long time coming but finally got around to taking it and passed this morning.

Finally have some footage of my Raptor flying. The flying isn't great as I have some tail issues at the moment. Hopefully fixed by my adjustments made last night (yet to video)

My crash tally increased by one yesterday as I had abit of a moment losing orientation of the heli. I thought it was banking left, it was banking right and so when i corrected - BOOOOMM! 
 
Still caught the moment on camera for you viewing pleasure... 
 
 
 
Quite a bit of damage on this one, but thanks to all the spares my relatives and Isobel bought over xmas I was able to reassemble no problem:- 
 
1 x Blades 
1 x Mainshaft 
1 x Mainshaft bearing 
1 x Mixer arm 
1 x Flybar 
1 x Flybar paddle 
1 x tail boom 
1 x tail gear casing

The company I worked for has decided that i've been a good boy for the last 10 years and have generously given me a gift. This gift... a TREX 500. 
 
It arrived yesterday, so I've decided to record in pictures my build progress.
